Spearheaded the visual development from 2D storyboards/animatic to 3D prototypes, establishing the motion logic before managing the production handoff to the 3D team.
This project focused on visualizing Toyota’s hybrid system by translating the copywriter’s script into a clear, simple, and engaging visual narrative. The initial direction explored a full 2D blueprint style, with multiple design options developed through storyboard and animatic stages to test timing against the voiceover.
During this process, the creative director chose to elevate the concept by shifting the visuals into 3D. All frames were then redesigned to 3D and a viewport animation test was created, which became the foundation for the 3D team to complete and expand the series from four to six episodes.
